2 Days Pamukkale, Antalya Tour Details

Pamukkale is a UNESCO World Heritage site located in Denizli province of Turkey. Pamukkale can simply be translated as “Cotton Castle” and the name inspired by the natural terraced basins full of hot spring water and petrified as white calcium terraces. They look white as the color of rich calcium in the water coming from 17 different underground water sources. Today, you can visit Pamukkale, lie down in the hot waters and enjoy the healing powers of this ancient healing center.

Hierapolis was quite a popular city during Hellenistic period. A rich Greco Roman city, famous with textile products and cloths trade and of course the healing center right next to the city.  There are many remains today,  Necropolis, Amphitheater, Temple of Apollo, Roman Baths, Domitian Gate, Agora still amaze the visitors.  Also a temple built in the name of Apostle Philip (or Philip the Evangelist, it is not clear) is sited on the hill over Pamukkale and Tomb of St. Philippe made Hierapolis an important city in early Christian Era.  Apart from the other remains,  Cleopatra pool in Hierapolis provides a unique experience to those who wish to enjoy the warm water among the ancient columns.

Antalya is the tourism capital of Turkey with many natural wonders and historical values. Antalya city is the biggest international resort on Turkish Riviera. Founded by Greeks around 150 BC, the city named after Pergamon King Attalos II (Attaleia). Antalya was one of the major cities in Byzantine era. Kaleici is the old center of Antalya and Hadirans Gate is one of the most beautiful historical remains of the old city of Antalya. Antique cities like Perge, Side and Aspendos are all around Antalya and they have rich historical heritage that makes Antalya very interesting for history lovers.  Also Antalya is famous for beautiful waterfalls, conyons, caves and more interesting natural beauties.

2 Days Pamukkale, Antalya Tour Program

2 Days Turkey tour package starting from Pamukkale and visiting Hierapolis Antique City, White Pools of Pamukkale, Aphrodisias Antique City, Ephesus Antique City, Virgin Mary’s House and Artemis Temple.

Day 1: Pamukkale and Hierapolis Tour (Lunch)
  • We will meet you at Denizli Airport and drive you to Pamukkale for your tour of Pamukkale and Hierapolis.
  • We will visit Hierapolis Antique City and see Necropolis, Roman Bahts, Domitian Gate, Latrina, Oil Factory, Frontinious Street, Agora, Byzantium Gate, Triton Fountain, Cathedral, Apollon Temple, Plutonium, Theater, Antique Pool.
  • After Hierapolis, we will walk down to Pamukkale and spend time on white pools of Pamukkale. You can relax in hot waters of Pamukkale, take photos and enjoy this natural wonder.
  • After having lunch in a local restaurant, we will drive to Antalya and overnight in Antalya.
Day 2: Antalya City Tour  (Breakfast – Lunch)
  • Pick up from your hotel after breakfast. We will start Antalya City Tour.
  • We will take  a walk in old city of Antalya and see the museums, cafes and historic spots like Hadrians Gate.
  • We will take a scenic boat cruise and drive to see Duden Waterfalls.
  • After tour we will drive you to Antalya Airport for your flight back Istanbul.
